What is Odyssey of the Mind?

Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that stimulates creativity, team spirit and complex problem-solving in children, through playful and intellectual challenges.

Together, students imagine, design and present original solutions to open-ended problems, combining engineering, drama, storytelling and visual arts.

Competition stages

Team formation: 5 to 7 students, supervised by an adult coach.
Choice of a long-term problem from several themes (technical, artistic, structural, etc.).
Creating the solution: children imagine, build and rehearse without outside help.
Spontaneous" training: surprise challenges to develop quick thinking and collaboration.
Regional competition: presentation of the solution on stage + spontaneity tests. Or better 5. regional competition: on-stage presentation of solution and resolution of a surprise challenge.
6 National and world competitions (depending on qualification).

A unique program for learning to think differently, while having fun.
