Dominique trained in contemporary/modern and African dance. Her interest in Mandingo dance led her to travel extensively to Mali and Burkina Faso, where she honed her skills with dancers from the Ballet National de Bamako and the Yelemba troupe from Bobo-Dioulasso (Burkina-Faso). Her research, her desire, is to put contemporary and modern language into dialogue with traditional African language. The discovery of the Silvestre technique in 2003, which links Afro-Brazilian dances with modern dance, strongly echoed this research, and has greatly influenced her physical work and her orientation in dance. It was also in this year that she founded the Yata Dans' association with Luanda Mori. She has danced with Filibert Tologo (Kouman/2006 and Entre-Deux/2007), Luanda Mori (Sopro-Souffle/2010), Alidou Yanogo (La trace des pas de l'invisible/2013, Tounga/2016 and Sia/2021). She has danced and acted in dance-theater pieces by Myriam Boukris (Cie Tohu Wa Bohu) "Dis Mémé, c'était comment ta vie?" 2015, "Je suis Boue" 2017 and "Sauve-moi" 2022).
She also teaches Afro-contemporary dance to adults, teenagers and children.
She is also a movement teacher for the very young and draws on her two main tools, pedagogy and her artistic background, to help them develop their movement skills and artistic sense in a playful environment.
Dominique holds a Master's degree in Education (University of Geneva) and is co-founder of the Yata Dans' Association.
She regularly trains in dance therapy.
